Forget those other games!!!

Yes I'm working again, because of an unfortunate problem with my hard drive all the work for "Totem of Souls" and "Norman Redbank" has been lost, so I humbly announce the making of "Chet Quazaar: Universal Adventurer: Episode 1: The Foible with Filk". It's a Sci-fi comedy in the vain of Space Quest or Rex Nebula, and I'm currently plugging away on art and story.

"The Totem of Souls" on TEMPORARY hiatus

My simple game design has quickly become complicated, my aspirations were a bit more than my skills would allow, so "The Totem of Souls" is on a temporary hiatus while I begin production on a much simpler game, So stay tuned to this blog for an update probably later tonight about my new game "Norman Redbank: Private Dick".

New Background image (W.I.P)



The picture on top is the first scrolling screen it is my artist's rendition of a boston city street, with the Athenaeum at one end. The bottom is a delapidated shack in the middle of the desert, it may not be finished, I'm not sure yet.

"The Totem of Souls" images and story synopses


Simon Wethers' (the hero's) Study, this is the starting room of the game

The HMS Trilby anchored at the Harbor. This is the ship Simon takes to America when he begins his search for the Totem of Souls.

Story Synopsis:
1880
Simon Wethers is a world famous Archaeologist, he has been contacted by a man in America regarding a old American tale about a lost underground city, buried beneath the Arizona Desert. Within this city's walls is held "The Totem of Souls" a solid gold totem pole said to possess great powers.

You may notice that the above images are very simple, I wanted to make a game I could learn with, meaning learn the scripting (AGS http://adventuregamestudios.co.uk) and not let to much get in the way, so the backgrounds and sprites are done in a very simple style using MSPaint.
